My fascination with the sky began long before I ever picked up a camera. For much of my childhood, I dreamed of becoming an Alaskan bush pilot, spending my life flying through the wild, open spaces of the Last Frontier.
In 2020, I got my first DJI drone, which opened up a new way to explore and capture the beauty of the Keweenaw and beyond. After dedicating time to study, I earned my FAA Part 107 certification. Now, I navigate the skies and photograph the stunning landscapes of Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, which, in many ways, feels like its own Last Frontier.
My current flying adventure is working toward my private pilot’s license. I’m slowly chipping away at the requirements and look forward to the day I can truly take to the skies.
I’m always happy to take on commercial projects—whether filming or photography—with aerial imagery included. It’s been fun to weave this practice into my wedding portfolios as well as use it for personal adventures and creative exploration.
